New Homes and Renovations

What is a Plumbing Plan?

There are so many things to consider when building. Who to hire to design and build your home, how to make your house energy and water efficient, where you want your power outlets, and where you want your kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry located.

Bringing on a skilled plumber early in your planning process means areas requiring plumbing can be designed to optimise the amount of pipework needed, appropriate sized pipework is used, and sanitation requirements met.

A good plumbing plan will include your hot water service, internal pipework, tap, and mixer placement, drainage, waste outlets, and appropriate gas fittings and fixtures if needed.

Why Have a Plumbing Plan?

Building a new home or starting a renovation, whether large or small, can be an exciting but daunting task. New homes require consideration for every plumbing detail. Renovations need an experienced eye as sometimes our home renovation ideas and dreams don't match up with what's possible when working with existing plumbing.

Proper planning and advice can save you valuable time and costly changes, solve problems and help you achieve those dreams for your home. Including a plumbing plan in your overall building plan means your builder can set realistic time frames and have trades ready to go when needed.

Plan for the Future

Future-proofing your home is essential. Your plumber can advise you and help assess your individual needs. Whether you are a growing family or empty-nesters, if your home is a holiday house or a full-time residence, each home has its own set of requirements to ensure a comfortable living space for its occupants.
